A Spontaneous Solo Adventure in Lisse
The Impulsive Decision & Introduction
So, here's the thing: I booked a hotel room for myself, spontaneously. A complete whim, really. No grand plan, no pressing need – just a desire to treat myself to a relaxing night and a bit of solo adventuring. A work gift card made it even easier to justify this impulsive escape. I found myself in Lisse, a charming Dutch town famed for its proximity to tulip fields (though, being June, the tulips were long gone).
I’d visited the area before, documenting the stunning Keukenhof Gardens and other tulip fields in previous videos. This time, however, Lisse itself was the destination. Completely unplanned! I wasn't sure what to expect, to be honest. Would it be worth a solo trip? Would I find anything interesting to do in this quaint little town? Only one way to find out, right?
Filming this whole experience meant I didn’t feel entirely alone. Having you, my viewers, along for the ride made the solo aspect feel a bit less… well, solo. Maybe that’s just me being sentimental, but hey, it made for a slightly less daunting adventure. First things first: a room tour of my unexpectedly delightful boutique hotel!
