A Zandvoort Arrival and Hotel Check-in
Arrival in Zandvoort and First Impressions
Stepping off the train in Zandvoort felt surreal. The city looked almost… unreal. Buildings clustered together in a way that defied logic, creating a strangely charming, almost amusement-park-like atmosphere. My boyfriend was delayed, so I had a couple of hours to kill before checking into our bizarre hotel. I was starving – it was past 2 PM – and the thought of a late lunch was suddenly paramount.
I found a delightful little café near the hotel. The place was utterly charming. My avocado toast – a simple dish, really – was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect fuel for the adventure ahead. With my hunger satisfied, I turned my attention to the hotel, a peculiar structure that looked like a stack of houses somehow defying gravity.
Reaching the hotel involved a fun descent via escalators. The whole experience felt playful; it was like entering a whimsical, slightly off-kilter world. Check-in was a breeze, and I was soon heading up to my room on the fifth floor. First impressions? Intrigued, slightly disoriented, and definitely hungry no more.
